On 14 May 2016, Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi visited Ninaura near Ujjain to address the International Convention on the Universal Message of Simhastha. This three-day international seminar was held from 12th to 14th May 2016. At this event, other members: Mr. RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Swami Avdheshanand Ji, Swami Ramdev and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev were also visited to have interaction with the people. President of Sri Lanka Mr. Maithripala Sirisena also joined this convention with PM Modi. This seminar had represented the focus on the evolution of ancient Indian culture and development of Madhya Pradesh.

Addressing a large gathering at Kumbh Mela, PM Modi mentioned this event as a “Vichar Kumbh”. He mentioned this convention as the initiation of new efforts. According to him, this will be the modern edition of all those rituals that might have happened in the ancient times. Moreover, this will provide a new version to the people who have strong belief in the traditional and spiritual values.

In this event, ambassadors of various countries were invited and a reception committee of local public representatives was constituted. Brilliant scholars on various subjects from all over the country attended this seminar. Other programs like Beti Bachao Abhiyan, Global Warming, Swachhata Abhiyan, Science, Spiritualism, Women Empowerment, Climate Change, Cottage Industry and Agriculture were held during this seminar.

Speaking at the event, Shri Narendra Modi described all about Indian tradition, culture and the history of Kumbh Mela. He mentioned this event as one of the major gathering programs, where people from different states join together for the spiritual activities. He said that Indian saints had discovered amazing ideas and techniques to keep the balance between human life and nature. The process of research and innovation comprises a vast history in our nation. Rishi Munis and Saints had worked on these practices for the proper determination of different aspects.

In the words of PM Modi, “We belong to a tradition where even a Bhikshuk says, may good happen to the person who gives me & even the person who does not.”

Shri Narendra Modi mentioned various other illustrations of the values and humanism which signify and describe the Indian Culture in an interesting way. This new disclosure will be effective not only in India but in the abroad countries also.

He said that this “Vichar Kumbh” should be held every year so that we can get an amazing opportunity to discuss the important issues like education of girl child, afforestation etc. He said that the agenda of this major event is revised after every three years and the lack and changes of the previous event are observed by the official authorities.

Shri Narendra Modi said, “There was a PM, Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji, who urged the nation to skip an evening meal & so many people did exactly that.”

He said that we should come together in the difficult situations. The combined efforts can be fruitful for the entire nation. He explained this with the example of a gas subsidy. Many people all over the country have left the subsidy plans and welcomed the new scheme i.e. Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana which is executed keeping in mind the health of women, pollution, and suitability.

In the words of Shri Narendra Modi, “योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्”

It means- Complete focus and dedication to action without any attachment to the ensuing results is the real key to living a fulfilling life as a true Karma Yogi. This is the core message which Lord Krishna has conveyed to Arjuna while explaining Karma Yoga in Bhagavad Gita.

PM Modi explained the meaning of “तमसो मा ज्योतिरगमय”. It means we should lead us from unreal to the real world and from darkness to light.

India is a country where people of different religions are living together. In order to reduce all conflicts, we should focus on the management so that we can help each other at the difficult times. PM Modi said that we should focus on the importance of moral, social and spiritual values. He laid stress on the important matters like global warming and terrorism. In order to overcome these challenges, we should raise our level of thinking and discover new ideas and plans that can work on a wide platform.

According to him, this event is listed as the most important and large gathering event and the preparation of which is started several months ago. In order to organize every program and activity in a proper manner, the true potential of many people and groups has been involved. These activities also let the officials determine their organizing capacity.

PM Modi said, “Can we not tell the world about the organizing capacity of an event like the Kumbh.”

PM Modi highlighted the achievement of the nation like technology modes in the processes of Election Commission, Management of public events etc. He said that India has played a major role in presenting all the concerns of climate and global warming.  He described this Kumbh Mela as the topic of a case study, which should be included as the subject of management in different universities of the world.

He said that we should take initiatives to protect the elements of nature like water, plants and forests. We can involve these activities in our daily schedule. Moreover, this will also encourage the people to protect nature in the best possible ways. PM Modi urged the people to accept the changes in their life which can not only help them to become strong but also give them the confidence to overcome all the challenges of life. He said that we should develop our mind and qualities, only then we will be able to solve the troubles of life.

PM Modi gave appreciation to the efforts of Mr. Shivraj who took instant actions and made all the arrangement within a short time span. He was pleased with the efforts of people because of which this event was successfully organized.
