The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi requested the Indian schools in our country to set its goal. The country wants to reach it by 2022. India celebrates its 75th year of independence. He has reviewed the growth of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan at a meeting with high-level officials. He proposed Swachh Bharat – Swachh Vidyalaya competitions can be arranged in schools.
The Prime Minister requested the officials to start the chance of a twinning arrangement between one class of a school in cities and in rural areas. He requested the schools of India to use the best teaching methods. The schools should create a repository for the the spread of education.
The Prime Minister requested the schools to maintain basic data for all school teachers. The data includes Aadhaar numbers, email IDs and mobile numbers in a database.
Shri Narendra Modi suggested the schools to start an aptitude test for all students. This will help them chose the right stream of education. He asked for good synergy between the Digital India initiative, and programmes associated with it in the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
Our Minister for Human Resource Development is Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani. There were other senior officials from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, NITI Aayog, and Prime Minister’s Office who were present in this meeting.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a programme by Government of India. The government plans to universalize elementary education (UEE) within a time frame. It has been introduced by 86th amendment of the Indian Constitution of India. The children get free and compulsory Education. The age limit is within 6-14 years age. This is a Fundamental Right.

State Governments implements SSA for the whole country. This project fulfills the need of 192 million children in 1.1 million habitations. Under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the government opens new schools where there is no facility for schooling. It makes the infrastructure of the schools strong with the help of class rooms, toilets, drinking water, and maintaining school improvement grants. The present schools have few teacher strength and SSA provides them, teachers. The capacity of teachers is made strong with the help of training, grants for developing teaching-learning materials and improving the academic support structure of the group in the block and district level. SSA is looking for quality elementary education for improving life skills. SSA focuses on the education of girl as well as children with special needs. It provides computer education to reduce the digital divide.
Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign at the national level. It covers 4041 statutory towns. The aim is to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country, On 2 October 2014, this campaign was started at Rajghat, New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleaned the road. India took a big step in this cleanliness drive. In this Abhiyan, 3 million government employees and school, college students of India joined this event. The mission began with Prime Minister Modi. He chose 9 famous personalities in this campaign. They started the challenge and named nine more people. It worked like a tree. People from all professions can join it.
The Swacch Bharat Abhiyan follows certain guidelines like the construction of individual sanitary toilets (mostly pit latrines) for those living below the poverty line. They are given a subsidy of 80% as per demand. There is a plan for converting dry latrines (pit latrines without a water seal) into low-cost sanitary latrines. There is a project for construction of village sanitary complexes for women for hand pumping, bathing, sanitation and washing where there is short of space within houses. The village panchayats are interested to start facilities. The government plans to set up sanitary marts. The government aims at the total sanitation of villages by building construction of drains, soakage pits, solid and liquid waste disposal. There is an intensive campaign for spreading awareness and education in healthcare for creating the need for personal, household and environmental facilities for sanitation. This project began on 1 April 1999 by Government of India. They started a Comprehensive Rural Sanitation Programme.
A campaign for Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) was initiated. From June 2003, the Total Sanitation Campaign was started. An incentive scheme was initiated by the government. They gave an award for total sanitation coverage. A clean environment needs to be maintained and there was a reward called Nirmal Gram Puraskar.

Government of India took the Digital India initiative. This project aims at uniting the departments of government as well as people of India. The target is to provide services by the government. They are given to citizens using digital mode. This decreases paperwork. The rural areas get connected using this plan. For this service, internet networks having high speed are used. There are three aspects of digital India and they the are the development of digital infrastructure, providing service using digital mode and spreading literacy using the digital method.
The project of Digital India is going to be completed within 2019. The platform can be used in 2 ways. In this scheme, the beneficiaries are service providers and consumers. Digital India Advisory group is going to control the scheme. It will be governed by the Ministry of Communications and IT. This initiative will be implemented across ministries. The public healthcare education, judicial services will receive services. They will follow the public-private partnership model on a selective basis. National Informatics Centre will be modeled in a new way. The Modi Administration gives importance to Digital India project.
PM Narendra Modi ‘s initiative of restructuring education is really praiseworthy. We would like to see the literacy of India go up in the future. We wish to see digital connectivity in all parts of India. We wish our Modi government all the best and step forward in this noble project.
