If the strength of character accounts as your success then, this success will taste by one of the eminent persons of Indian history and his name was Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. His exclusive leadership can be defined by his sub name given by people as “Sardar” which means Chief in Hindi, Urdu, and Persian. Vallabh Bhai Patel was a Barrister and Statesman. He was born and raised in the countryside of Gujarat. He was one of those few people who were actively participated in India’s freedom and then after freedom took other responsibility to constitute India’s future.

Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was a vital part of Indian National Congress Party. He participated and managed Non-violent civil disobedience” movement and Quit India Movement against British Raj. After the independence of India, he became Deputy Prime Minister of India and First Home Minister of India. He did remarkable efforts for every group of society at the time of chairing these posts. He lit the candle of peace across the nation after independence which was facing the internal disputes amongst the different community. His leadership was very fiery which brought new names for him like “Iron Man of India” and “Bismarck of India”. He also remembered as the “Patron Saint” of India’s civil servants for establishing Modern All India Services.

Vallabh Bhai Patel being a congress person took a special place in every India whether he is from different party’s ideology and perfect example we can see is our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Narendra Modi always followed virtues. We are surrounded by positivity all around, it up to us whether we want to embrace it or not. Real learning flashes this knowledge. Beyond the People, there is a World of opportunities. Narendra Modi always seemed inspired by Vallabh Bhai Patel. He never forgot him on any occasion. It’s not a party gimmick to give respect to other party people because beyond party, he was the son of India and that makes a proper reason to follow his attributes.

If we talk about the likeness between Vallabh Bhai Patel and Narendra Modi, we could see these points evolving.

They both are Gujarati and also branded as communal. Like Narendra Modi Patel as questioned many a times for being a Hindu supporter which is completely ok to be a disciple of your own religion. Patel always branded as communal by commies, RSS sympathizer and Pro-business throughout his life.

Likewise Modi, Patel always stressed on free enterprise and to bring social economic reforms. How Patel was contra to “equal treatment” for just to communal appeasement.

In January 1948, he gave a speech in Calcutta about the Pakistani trespassing and disturbance in India, especially in Kashmir. His speech was indicative about “what is wrong to follow Hindu Dharma in our own Country and what is wrong to be communal”. When we have given you another nation to built and developed then why secularism evolved.

Narendra Modi has converted his respect towards Patel Sahab into one of his ambitious project of “Statue of Unity”. Statue of Unity will be the 182 meters iron monument of Vallabh Bhai Patel based on his name “Iron Man of India”. It will be created directly facing to Narmada Dham, 3.2 km away on the river island called ‘Sadhu Bet’ near Vadodara, Gujarat. Construction has been started in October 2014 and it will cost around US$ 470 million. The Project is being eyed by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET) which was established by Gujarat Government in 2010 for the construction of the statue. It will take 56 months to complete including planning, construction and handling time. Some say it is a politicizing his name by Narendra Modi which does not affect to our PM at all as giving justification to false accusation has not been in his task list ever.

On 31st October 2014, Modi flagged off “Run for Unity” event on the occasion of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Jayanti at Rajpath, New Delhi and said Patel Sahab reckoned Ek Bharat, we will add Shreshth Bharat in his words. Ek Bharat- Shrestha Bharat (United India- Foremost India).

In December 2014, on his death anniversary Modi said, “”India will forever be indebted to Sardar Patel for his tireless efforts to unite the Nation”. Known as the ‘Iron Man’ of India, Sardar Patel was instrumental in uniting the country through the merger of small princely states.

His life has been a truly an inspiration to every strong headed person who knows his goals and know how to stay firm at their points. Being wise and Being a Rigid to the truth are two desirable qualities to stand out from the crowd and become a leader and Modi is practicing these qualities for the betterment of the country.
