On 28th May 2016, Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi attended “Ek Nayi Subah” programme to mark the completion of two years of his government. Ministry of State for Home Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mr. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Cabinet Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Ms. Uma Bharti, Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley, Legislator Mr. Harvinder Kalyan, Minister of State for Finance Mr. Jayant Sinha, and Minister of State for Urban Development Mr. Babul Supriyo were also the part of this programme. The event was held in talkathon format with the ministers answering queries put to them. This format allowed the participants to post questions on social media platform like twitter and these were answered by the guests in the real time. This programme was broadcasted live on various media channels of the nation.

Many famous personalities: Amitabh Bachchan, R. Madhavan, Raveena Tandon, Vidya Balan, Juhi Chawla and Manoj Tiwari became the part of the discussion.  In this programme, PM Modi highlighted the agenda of development and obstructionism. The steps taken by his government to combat corruption have remained effective in many departments and sectors. Asserting the change that has been observed in the last years through good governance, Indian PM has made the life easier for the people in many ways.

The work of NDA government in different sectors has been observed with complete analysis. Modi’s government has achieved renewed faith and enthusiasm with the great efforts. He said that the firm faith of people in us has also increased our confidence to do the best for them. He listed the achievement of government in tackling the problems of people residing in rural areas. Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the impeccable measures that the Indian Government has undertaken to transform the nation. He remarked that the govt. would leave no stone unturned to make fruits of development reach the poor section across the country.

Agriculture Benefits: PM Modi has hailed Pradhan Mantri Faisal Bima Yojana as a boost to the farmers across the nation. With this, multiple localized risks and post-harvest losses will be taken into account in order to ensure that no farmer will be alone at this time. The other beneficial scheme that was launched by the Modi government is Soil Health Card- a Parameter to analyze the quality of soil, its efficiency, and lacks. This scheme aims to promote the soil test and balanced use of fertilizers so that farmers can produce higher yields at lower cost.

Cooking Gas: Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched to provide free LPG connections to the BPL families. With this scheme, there will no damaging or polluting effect to the environment. Also, the chances of health hazards will be reduced. It has empowered women of the country by giving them a place of respect in the family.

Mobile Connectivity: The State government has introduced mobile connectivity with Aadhaar Cards and Jan Dhan Accounts. With this, people will get all the information of their accounts and they can also opt online banking to transfer money to the others.

Start-Up Schemes: For those who want to start small business or entrepreneurship, they need not worry about financial support as PM Modi has come up with Mudra Yojana. Under this scheme, people can take loans to initiate business process.

Transparent Employee Selection Process: In order to make the selection procedure more transparent and relevant, the government has changed the rules for category 3 and 4 employees. From now, there will no interview as the computer will determine the best candidates based on merit.

Modern Infrastructure: The road connectivity through nationwide plan i.e. Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana is the major step of modern infrastructure. It will link all unconnected villages of the rural areas of various states. Moreover, it will also upgrade the lifestyle of villagers.  

Continuous Supply of Electricity: The Indian Government has invested Rs. 656 Billion for rural electrification under Gram Jyoti Yojana. With this, there will be an accessibility of electricity to the villages, households, panchayats, hospitals and police stations.

Future Investment: The schemes like OROP (One Rank One Pension Scheme), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Scheme, Jan Dhan Yojana aim to save money for the future use.

Make in India: This initiative was taken by PM Modi in Sept 2014 to encourage the multinational and national company to start manufacturing and production in India. Make in India has focused on various 25 sectors including: Automobiles, Aviation, Biotechnology, Electrical Machinery, Construction, Leather, Media, Entertainment, Mining, Gas, Oil, Pharmaceuticals, Railway, Space, Astronomy, Renewable Energy, Thermal Power, Tourism, Ports and Shipping, Electronic System, Defence Manufacturing, Textile, Garments, Chemicals, Wellness, Hospitality, Food Processing, Information Technology etc.

Direct Benefit Transfer: This scheme was introduced to provide the benefits of subsidy by connecting it with Aadhaar card and Jan Dhan Accounts.

Power Saving LED Bulbs: With the campaign of LED bulbs, we have become successful to save 20000 MW electricity. The government has targeted 500 cities for providing power saving lights.
